Stride technology provides a flexible outsole and upper around the toe box, combined with a row of stiff cleats, allowing the shoe to adapt easily when walking or pushing a bike , while remaining rigid and efficient when pedaling.

The Recon 1.0 uses a Boa® L6 clamp with soft cables made from Dyneema yarn, eliminating unwanted stretch while removing stiff guides to give riders a softer upper that fits the foot comfortably. Additionally, the outsole is optimized to transmit your power to the pedal with balanced stiffness.

Features of the Specialized Recon 1.0 MTB shoes :

  • Body Geometry outsoles and insoles have been ergonomically designed and scientifically tested to improve power transfer and increase pedaling efficiency while reducing the risk of injury by optimizing hip/knee/foot alignment.
  • STRIDE toe-flex technology allows natural movement of the forefoot when walking or carrying and maintains its rigidity when pedaling (stiffness index 6.0)
  • Boa® L6 Dial tightening with soft lace cables made from Dyneema yarn
  • SlipNot™ rubber sole for added grip on all terrains
  • SPD type drilling with 2 screws, compatible with all major brands of MTB pedals
